What is a Cleanroom?

A cleanroom is a clean area, that is designed to reduce the contamination of processes and materials and to control the working environment.

This is accomplished by removing or reducing contamination sources by providing an environment where contamination can easily be removed, air locks and air showers, clean air circulation, HEPA filtration, temperature and humidity control, changing areas and of course best practices for the minimisation of contamination.
